SEA Preparation · Standard 3-5

Know exactly where your child stands, before the first lesson.

SEA Mathematics, English Language Arts & Creative Writing, and Reading & Comprehension for Standard 3 to 5 students in St. Augustine, Trinidad. Small cohorts, online and in-person, taught by the same teacher from entry through to the SEA exam.

Student working on SEA preparation exercises

In Trinidad, the SEA result decides which secondary school your child walks into for the next five years. We test before we teach because that stake is a large one. It deserves evidence and specific, planned and structured preparation, not a guess.

Where to start

Three subjects, every child assessed first.

Each subject below opens in exactly the same way, with a diagnostic that tells us where your child is, before either of you spend a single class guessing.

How the cohorts work: your child joins a group by the year they sit SEA. They stay with the same teacher, time slot, and classmates from entry all the way through to the exam. Cohorts are capped at six, so places are genuinely limited. Once your child has a seat, it stays theirs through to SEA.

Beyond the mark

What actually changes for your child.

A test score is the outcome we measure. It is not the only thing we work on. Spelling and vocabulary are built deliberately, word by word, session by session, because they show up in every comprehension passage and every piece of writing a child produces. Confidence is watched just as closely, a child who has stopped putting their hand up in class starts putting it up again.

Confidence

Children who have started to dread English stop dreading it. That shift shows up before the marks do, and we watch for it directly.

Spelling & Vocabulary

Built with the same discipline as any other skill, drilled, tracked, and revisited, not left for a child to pick up by chance.

Writing Expression & Imagination

Creative writing taught as a real skill, shaping an idea into a story, not just avoiding mistakes on a page.

Cultural Exposure

Reading and writing material chosen to widen what a child has seen and thought about, not only what a paper requires.

Mathematical Foundations

Number sense and the reasoning underneath a correct answer, built deliberately with Mr. Boodram, not just formula recall.

Foundations That Carry Forward

What's built now is what CSEC will later stand on. This is groundwork, not exam cramming.

And for you

Peace of mind. A written report instead of a guess, a teacher who can tell you exactly where your child stands, and a plan you can actually see, not just trust.

Before enrolment

What the diagnostic actually gives you.

$200 per subject, about an hour per subject, a real assessment against the SEA syllabus, not a worksheet. Flip through a sample below to see what comes back.

Where your child is, and where they need to be

The diagnostic measures both. Every question is marked against the real SEA syllabus for that subject, so the distance between where your child stands today and where they need to be by exam day is a measured gap, not a guess.

You walk away with a written report mapping that gap directly, which skills are already strong, which need work, and a plain-language explanation of what closing it will actually take.

  • Price $200 TTD per subject
  • Length about 60 minutes per subject
  • You receive a full written report, plus a placement recommendation
1 / 6

A sample report, built to show the shape of what you'll receive, not a real student. The actual diagnostic gives a full, question-by-question breakdown measured against the skills the syllabus requires, with a complete picture of where your child stands.
